2012 Workshop Series:
Fundraising Basics for Nonprofits
How can your organization survive and even thrive in 2012? Geared to nonprofit staff and volunteers, this 4-part series covers the fundamentals of establishing and strengthening a fundraising program.
Workshops will be held at Main Library, Room 2AB, beginning in February and ending in May, 2012. Presented in association with The Foundation Center-Cleveland and the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (newly merged with Cleveland-based Business Volunteers Unlimited or BVU).
Workshops are free but separate registration is required.

Guide to Foundation Center Online Grantseeker Resources

Finding a good donor “fit” for your organization’s funding opportunities will significantly improve your success rate. This workshop explores the online research tool, the Foundation Directory Online, which helps you identify foundations and corporations that support programs and organizations like yours.

Proposal Writing and Budgeting Basics

Proposal writing is easier than you may think. The fundamentals of proposal writing, including budget preparation, as part of a basic grant proposal will be covered in this workshop. Geared to the novice grantseeker, this program discusses the key components of a proposal to a foundation, the kinds of expenses covered under “personnel”, and how to determine a request amount that is neither too high nor too low in relation to what you expect to accomplish.
